The City of Meridian's Economic Development program is run out of the Mayor's Office and takes the lead in Meridian in strengthening the City's competitive position in the new high-tech, knowledge-based economy. The Economic Development Team takes a comprehensive approach to economic development that incorporates housing, employment, culture and tourism, advanced manufacturing and technology, as well as more traditional industries such as agriculture and agribusiness as part of Meridian's development.

Three Permit Fees Waived to Help Businesses ReOpen and Prosper
The Keep Meridian Healthy & Open for Business campaign is designed to guide local businesses in reopening in a safe and responsible manner. A partnership of the City, Meridian Chamber of Commerce, Central Health District and Crush the Curve Idaho, the campaign includes education, virtual workshops, guidance, and best practices for reopening and operating businesses.
