Republic Services offers curbside grass and leaf composting cart subscription serivce.

How to Subscribe 

• Call Republic Services at 208-345-1265 and ask for the Grass Cart Service
• A 95-gallon grass cart subscription is $8.74 per month
• Grass cart subscription bills come from Republic Services not from City's Utility Billing
• Cart size is 95-gallons

 

Grass Cart Collection Timeframes

• Grass is collected from April 1st -Oct 31st
• Leaves are collected from Nov 1st to 30th
• Cart turns into additional trash cart from Dec 1st to March 31st

 

Items Accepted in Grass Cart from April to November

• Grass Clippings 
• Leaves
• NOT accepted in cart: branches, food scrapes, pet waste, plastic bags, or trash

 

Where do the Grass and Leaves Go

• Grass and leaves, known as yard debris, are hauled by Republic Services to Timbercreek Recycling where they are turned into compost that can be used in gardens as a soil amendment.
