The new Backflow Prevention Portal is live. Licensed testers have until spring 2022 to create an account and get familiar with the new system of reporting. You can access the portal here. Licensed Backflow Tester Expectations
Expectations:
- Follow Code of Ethics - IDAPA 58.01.08.552.06.e – Cross Connection Control Program
- When a backflow prevention assembly passes a field test, the Backflow Assembly Tester shall submit within fifteen (15) business days of performing the field test a passing test report to the customer and the Public Water System having jurisdiction over the backflow prevention assembly.
- When a backflow prevention assembly is defective or fails to pass the field test, the Backflow Assembly Tester shall submit immediately, if possible, but no later than within two (2) business days, a failing field test report to the customer and the Public Water System having jurisdiction over the backflow prevention assembly.
- No drive by testing.

Non Compliance:
- 1st offense – 6 months suspension from backflow testing in the City of Meridian.
- 2nd offense – Reported to Divison of Occupational And Professional Licenses (DOPL) and suspended from the City of Meridian until DOPL’s final decision.
