While the City of Meridian Comprehensive Plan is the principle long range planning document for City, there are several other planning documents which go into greater detail for unique areas of interest within the Area of City Impact. Theses active planning documents are adopted by reference in the Comprehensive Plan, and contain an additional level of information relevant to planning activities.

Active Special Planning Areas

Fields Subarea Plan

Adopted in 2021, the Fields Subarea Plan applies to an area of northwest Meridian that is, generally, west of McDermott Road, south of SH-20/26, east of Can-Ada Road, and north of Ustick Road. More information can be found on the plan webpage, linked below.

Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan

Adopted in 2007, the Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan focuses on how development should occur near the Ten Mile Interchange. The planning area generally extends west of Linder, towards the Ada County border (McDermott Road), follows the north side of I-84 except between Ten Mile and Linder Roads where it contains the Overland corridor, and extends north to the rail road tracks. Destination Downtown

Adopted in 2009, this Vision Plan by the City's Urban Renewal Agency applies to the greater downtown area. More information can be found on the plan webpage, linked below.
